WORKS ON PAPER

Working primarily on paper in a range of techniques and materials, including pencil, brush and ink, gouache, watercolor, and delicate Japanese papers. Drypoints and Etchings retain the rhythmic pulse of hand-drawn lines, while experimental printmaking incorporates movable collagraphs, stencils, and collage. These layered approaches result in complex mixed-media pieces — drawings reworked as prints, prints transformed through paint.

NATURAL CURIOSITIES

Naturalia reimagines natural science illustrations inspired by The Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, an 18th-century natural history book. In this context, “naturalia” refers to animal specimens, mythical creatures, and so-called“monsters”. A tender and humorous meditation on vulnerability, metamorphosis, and impermanence.

Animals

Drawings, paintings and prints that explore our connection to the natural world. My work is a way of contemplating the essence of our tragic, mysterious and beautiful world.

aRTIFACTS

Artifacts playfully reimagines ancient functional and decorative objects — such as talismans, toys, and vessels. These mysterious artifacts, whose original meanings and uses are often lost to time, reflect an era when art was inseparable from daily life.
